Sanders Says Climate Change Is ‘Biggest Crisis of All’
Sen. Bernie Sanders responded to President Trump’s address to the nation Tuesday night by claiming the president is “creating an artificial crisis” by focusing on immigration, and that the “biggest crisis of all” is climate change.
Sanders began by blaming the government shutdown on “an assortment of right-wing ideologues” and accusing the president of trying to “create fear and hatred” about immigrants. The real national emergency, said Sanders, is about health insurance, student loan debt, and workers earning “starvation wages,” among other issues.
He added that the “biggest crisis of all” is probably climate change.
