Rep. Plaskett Won’t Return Epstein Campaign Contributions

Stacey Plaskett, Democrat Representative from the Virgin Islands, is “unlikely to return” donations to her campaign from billionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Plaskett received $8,100 from Epstein, the majority of which was donated during her 2016 reelection campaign. The remainder was donated during the 2018 campaign cycle. The donations are the largest Epstein has given to any political candidate since having pled guilty in the state of Florida to soliciting and procuring prostitution from an underaged individual.

Plaskett’s spokesman Mike McQueery said Monday that the congresswoman was “unlikely to return” the contribution. “I’m pretty sure she’s not,” said McQueery, who did not comment on how Plaskett knew Epstein.
