Planned Parenthood President Took the Role ‘Because I’m a Mother’

Planned Parenthood’s new president Dr. Leana Wen appeared on The View Thursday and said that her decision to lead the abortion giant isn’t political but “deeply personal.”

“I’m taking on this role, in part because I’m a new mother myself,” Wen said, adding that “nothing has been more clarifying for me than being a parent.”

Wen also denied suggestions from one of the show’s hosts that Planned Parenthood isn’t fully transparent about its services.
