Planned Parenthood Boss: My Job is to Take Care of Women

At the U.S. Supreme Court Tuesday to protest the recent ban on abortion in Alabama and restrictions on abortion being put in place in other states, the new president of Planned Parenthood declared that abortion bans endanger women’s health.

“I am a doctor and my job is to take care of women in this country,” said Leana Wen, calling the abortion ban “unprecedented, unethical, and a dangerous attack on women’s health and rights.”

She accused President Trump of appointing pro-life judges “willing to give power and control over women’s bodies.” Those judges “endanger our health and strip us of our bodily autonomy,” Wen said.
