Cohen Says ‘Chicken Barr Should Have Shown Up Today’
Rep. Steve Cohen held up a statue of a chicken on Thursday and said that “chicken” Attorney General William Barr “should have shown up” for the House Judiciary Committee hearing.
Barr said he would not attend Thursday’s committee hearing on the Mueller report, but that he would comply with House Judiciary chairman Jerry Nadler’s subpoena for the unredacted Mueller report and underlying documents.
Appearing next to Rep. Ted Lieu, Cohen held up a sign of a chicken statue to suggest that the attorney general was too scared to attend the hearing. “Chicken Barr should have shown up today and answered questions,” Cohen said.
