Biden Sinks to Fourth Place in Iowa Poll

Democrat presidential hopeful Joe Biden has sagged to fourth place in Iowa, according to a Civiqs survey released Wednesday.

According to the survey, taken October 18-22 among 598 likely Democratic Caucus attendees, Biden’s competition Elizabeth Warren leads the pack with 28% support (four points up from last month’s results). South Bend, IN Mayor Pete Buttigieg jumped to second place with 20% support (a seven-point jump).

Sen. Bernie Sanders fell to third place, trailing Buttigieg by two points with 18% support. Biden’s fourth-place status earns him just 12%  support – a four-point drop from September. The poll also shows Sen. Amy Klobuchar in distant fifth place with 4% support, followed by Tom Steyer and Kamala Harris with a mere 3% support each.

Respondents were also asked to select a second choice candidate, but the order among top-tier candidates remained the same: 24% chose Warren, 14% Buttigieg, 13% chose Sanders, and 10% opted for Biden.
