Biden Dismisses China Threat as Son Profits From It
A New York Post op-ed Monday argued that while 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden dismisses the economic and national security threat posed by China, his son has profited from financial ties to the regime.
At a campaign rally in Iowa last week, Biden scoffed at the notion that “China is going to eat our lunch.” “Come on, man,” Biden said, adding that “they’re not bad people” and “they’re not competition for us.”
The Post noted the close financial ties Biden’s son Hunter has with China, as documented in Peter Schweizer’s book Secret Empires. “There’s no question when you chart what Joe Biden is doing with China — the meetings he’s having and the deals that his son is procuring at the same time — that they are buying off Biden through his son,” Schweizer said in an interview.
