Karen M. White

Karen M. White was the National Political Director of EMILY’s List from 2003 – 2007, a network that raises money for the campaigns of Democratic, pro-choice, female political candidates.

White worked for Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu’s 1995 gubernatorial campaign; she was the campaign manager for former Maryland Governor Parris Glendening’s 1998 race; and she served as the Coordinated Campaign Director for the Maryland Democratic Party in 2002. After that, her attention was focused on helping EMILY-endorsed candidates win their elections.

She then served as the National Political Director for the National Education Association (NEA) from 2007 – 2015. In 2016, the NEA appointed her as Deputy Executive Director.
