  • Fellow of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine
  • Professor of Internal and Preventive Medicine at Rush University Medical College
  • Professor of Preventive Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine
  • Midwest Regional Medical Officer for the National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health / Centers for Disease Control
  • Chief of Occupational & Environmental Medicine at University of Illinois Health
  • Medical Director of the Mount Sinai Medical Center
  • Director of the Northwest Community Hospital occupational medical programs

* On an international level, Orris has been an adviser to the World Health Organization, the Pan American Health Organization, and Health Care Without Harm. He also has directed the “Human Health Effects of Chemicals Project” of the World Federation of Public Health Associations. And he has been active with the International Confederation of Free Trade Unions’ “Working Group on Heath Safety and the Environment.”

* Orris endorsed a July 1992 national convention held in Berkeley, California by the Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism, titled “Conference on Perspectives for Democracy and Socialism in the ’90s.”
